CHRISTMAS GOODWILL MESSAGE

As the year 2014 comes to an end, I thank all the Academic staff, Administrative staff and all the Students of the university for their hard work and dedication throughout the year.

This year we were ranked among the top ten Universities in Africa and the top University in East and Central Africa. We also had our highest number of PhD Graduands at 123. As at the end of this year, our professor portfolio stands at 425. The 22 storey UON Towers and the 6 storey Kisumu Campus Complex are nearing completion.  We were awarded the 3rd ISO 2001 -2008 certification.  These are among the many achievements we have had this year.

Commencement and resumption of studies 2015/2016 academic year

1.            COMMENCEMENT DATES – 2015/2016 ACADEMIC YEAR
 
The University of Nairobi wishes to inform the following groups of students (Module I) that the commencement dates for the 2015/2016 academic year are as follows:
 
A -      MONDAY, 5TH JANUARY, 2015
 
(i) 1st years (2013 K.C.S.E.) in the Faculty of Arts, Schools of Business, Law, Economics and I.A.G.A.S.
 
 
B -          MONDAY, 12TH JANUARY, 2015
 
  1. All 2nd years (2012 K.C.S.E.) except College of Humanities and Social Sciences
  1. All continuing 3rd year (2010 K.C.S.E.) in the Faculty of Arts, Schools of Business, Law, Economics and I.A.G.A.S. to commence first semester.
 
                C -          MONDAY, 27TH APRIL, 2015
 
(i) All 2nd years (2012 K.C.S.E.) in the Faculty of Arts, Schools of Business, Law, Economics and I.A.G.A.S.

Online room application for second year (KCSE2012) 2015/2016 academic year

This is to inform you that, the online room application exercise is to start on the 20th October 2014 and end on the 20th November 2014. You are therefore encouraged to apply to avoid any inconveniences. Please note that there shall be no extension whatsoever after the closure on the 20th November 2014.
