The President of the AIESEC UoN Committee, Dennis Maghasi Tugee, will represent Kenya in this year’s International Congress for AIESEC in Poland.

This was revealed on Wednesday, July 27th, 2016 when AIESEC UoN presented their 2nd quarter report to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Peter Mbithi in his office.

Dennis will be among 9 Kenyans who will represent Kenya in Poland. Other representatives are from AIESEC Strathmore, JKUAT and the AIESEC Kenya offices.

According to the 2nd quarter report that was presented, Membership and Leadership Development, University relations and External relevance are among the notable highlights that AIESEC UoN has achieved.

The students association has held the most successful AIESEC Week this year since the annual event began in 2012. During AIESEC Week, they showcase the different products that AIESEC offers, the relevance of the products to the modern society and how these products create a global impact.

The Vice Chancellor congratulated the AIESEC UoN Committee for presenting their report saying that it shows accountability.

He applauded the Association for its achievement in the international collaborations and experiential learning campaign saying that it is in line with the University’s strategic plan. He encouraged the students to excel in both leadership and academic performance.

Prof. Mbithi urged the students to be positive brand ambassadors of the University citing the fact that UoN is among 3% of the best institutions in the world.

Sustainability and visibility of the Association, lack of resources, penetration into the corporate world for placement and internships are among the challenges that the students association faces.

The AIESEC Committee thanked the Vice Chancellor for his support and for the University’s support towards their endeavors. The Committee extended an invite to the Vice Chancellor for their Annual Dinner in November, 2016.
