END OF YEAR EXHIBITION

Its that time again to Showcase the best in design. Welcome to the School of the Arts and Design general Exhibition on 8th-9th August, 2008 at the Design Studios, ADD Building, Opposite Central YMCA.

FY-2008 FUSION ARTS EXCHANGE ON DIGITAL MEDIA AND COMPUTER-ASSISTED DESIGN

The program is on and we hope that Nancy, Faith and John are having a good time and learning lots and lots of good stuff.

 

KISWAMP PROJECT

To reconnect with industry and communities, StAD considers building bridges between informal and formal sectors, humanities and science as a necessary objective.  Through the cross-pollination of the socio-cultural and economic practices, as well as a multidisciplinary approach to training and research, national, regional and global concerns can be tackled.

Reality Studio: Kisumu '08

The Reality Studio is a qualitative, action-oriented research approach, applying design theory and its process specifically towards immediate design interventions.  The objective is;

To look at design as an agent to initiate change through material culture, within built and natural environments

To apply design grounded in research as a means to investigate and initiate creative and innovative solutions—immediate, incremental—indicators toward large, complex, conflicting and interactive social, cultural, ecological, technical and economical processes and concerns, identified in larger (national, regional and global) goals or visions.

The results of this will be part of the Exhibition that will be running at the School from 8th-9th August, 2008. Be There.
