Introduction
The Institute of Diplomacy and International Studies (IDIS) is a post-graduate institute and is part of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) of the University of Nairobi. It started as the Diplomacy Training Programme (DTP) in the 1970s and evolved into one of the leading research and training institutes of its kind in Africa. IDIS runs programmes on international studies, strategic studies, international law and diplomacy.
