History Of Sci
The School of Computing and Informatics (SCI) formerly known as the Institute of Computer Science is part of the College of Biological and Physical Sciences of the University of Nairobi. The School was formally established by statute in 1977. The School was originally formed in 1969 as the Computing Centre, a Department in the Faculty of Engineering. In 1976, the Computing Centre moved to the Chiromo Campus where it occupied the purpose built premises used by the School today.
